Surgery Appointment

In case I forgot to tell anyone - My surgery is scheduled for Friday AM March 17th. The earliest appointment they could get me was on the 7th - another week would not make that much difference and that way I actually did not NEED to cancel my trip. I was willing to do the surgery whenever they could schedule it and since the first appointment was on the 7th my doctors decided I might as well do it as soon as I came home.

Ready - Set - Go Ireland!

I am amazed how much I managed to pack in my new tote bag. I not only added the book, magazines and snacks, but I managed to get my blanket folded and settled right on top of everything. That bag is "almost" packed to the brim! The packing plans changed - no carry on besides my tote and hand carried pillow. I ended up taking the boots out of the box and packing clothes around them. I did not want to have two large suitcases so I am taking one large one and then one that I will be able to fold in the larger case on the trip home (providing I don't find something to fill it up with).

I am not sure what the computer situation will be while I am there or time constraints connected with postings, but if I get a chance I will try to post.

I am excited about going, but DREAD the flight there and back. With all the gadgets I am taking, at least if I can't sleep, I will have plenty of things to keep myself occupied!

Getting Ready for Ireland

While we were down in Cal City for Desirae's birthday party, Denise had decided to make me a travel tote/purse for my trip. The bag turned out AWSOME! I love the material she picked out and she used felt for the bottom and outside pockets so it is ever so soft AND sturdy. I changed things over today and also packed all the little extras that I want on the plane with me and not only did everyting fit perfectly in the pockets - I still have room for MORE! I am carrying on my PSP, camera, video iPod, inverter (to charge things on the plane), Bose headphones, cell phone, two pair of glasses and all the various chargers for my electronic toys. I will not only still have room for magazines (I already have a Suduko book in the tote) and a paperback, but snacks as well! I am very happy with the usefulness of the tote and it LOOKS GREAT too.

I will also take a carry on for the convenience of having it (will probably take a pillow and small blanket as the ones on the plane SUCK). I would like to keep Kevin's motocross boots in the original box for protection, but they take up almost one whole suitcase. I really am not sure just how I am going to handle the whole luggage choice considering we only have one bag that will hold the boots in their box. I am not planning on doing a lot of shopping so I will not need extra luggage, but I need something to get my clothes over there in.

Birthday Weekend & Return of Desirae

It was a difficult task to pack up Desirae and return her to her family, but she was excited to see her Mommy, Daddy, brother, sister and NEW TRAILER. The dogs were not very pleased to see her go and I am sure they are going to miss her as much as we will. It was great to get to see the rest of the family and get a look inside that trailer. VERY NICE INDEED!

The kids had a great time with a bubble blowing machine Denise set up in the front yard before Desirae opened her presents (which she was very happy with). Check Duane's blog here.

It is always difficult to leave when we go to visit, but this time was especially hard leaving the grandkids behind. Since I am off to Ireland on Wednesday, it will be some time before we are back down there. Hopefully we can convince them to drag that new trailer our way soon. Leaving a couple of cuddle bunny like these two is not an easy thing to do, but pictures and memories are always available.

Duane has been showing me some things to make a better blog and I hope I am learning.

Thusday at the Park

Thursday was a bit of a run around day.  I needed to pick up some prescriptions from Kaiser as well as get some requested items for my friends in Ireland.  A big hit over there is Heresy’s Almond Kisses (go figure with the quality candy they have over there, but different is just different).  I also had to hunt down some St. Johns Wort as it has now become a prescription item over there and previously to the prescription status it was very expensive.  I have already ordered and received some O’Neil motocross boots for Kevin as they are about $100 US and $200 Euro – and you cannot get the quality over there that is available here.

After the errands were completed, Desirae and I decided to go to McDonalds and get some food for a picnic in the park.  I had decided to take her to the park so there might be the possibility we could return her the way we took her – BRUISED! I think the mission was accomplished, but it is only a little bruise on her leg.  She had great fun and met up with some other kids and had hours of good play. She was very proud of herself that she could walk the chain rope with no help.

We decided to go out to Ihop for dinner and have Funny Face pancakes for our “last supper” with Desirae.  She was very tired from the running at the park, but we had a good time.  Max had a final to take so Desirae and I played and watched a little TV waiting for Max to get finished.  Desirae ended up falling asleep on my lap and Max got to carry her to bed. Max feels like she has missed times with Desirae because of the homework and work thing.  (Someone has to make the money so we can run around doing the things we do).

Cortisone Shot Wednesday

Wednesday seemed like a really slow day considering all the events of yesterday.  The main event of the day was a trip to Kaiser Walnut Creek for Nana to get a cortisone shot in her knee. Desirae was a trip when the nurse called "Donna Rae" and Desirae stood up and told the entire waiting wrong - "Yep, that's my Nana's name". She also quickly informed the doctor I was NOT Grandma. I was NANA!   With my Ireland trip coming up in less than a week and my knee not behaving very well, I decided to try one more cortisone shot before actually approaching orthoscopic surgery.  I am hoping it will give me a bit of break not only for the long ride on the airplane, but for moving about Ireland with a little more ease.  Desirae was good at the appointment and thought that she was going to watch me get a shot in the knee – that rapidly changed when the doctor put the iodine on my knee and she saw the size of the needle.  She turned her back and was very stoic through the whole thing and was rewarded with not one, but three stickers.  Strange how that whole thing worked out - I got the shot and she got the stickers?

We left the doctor and went to Costco to buy a few things and pick up a pizza for dinner.  Debby came over and shared the pizza and we all had dessert – pie, cookies and ice cream.  We played video games for a while and then headed off to bed. I am still working on Max to NOT get Desirae completely worked up before bed - see how well that is working?

Desirae enjoyed a nice chat with her Mommy on the phone and doing video conferencing and had one of her favorite stories read to her by Mommy (life is good).

Birthday Tuesday

The BIG DAY arrived for Desirae with everything going her way!  She had pancakes and bacon for breakfast (left over from Monday).  She had a really cool e-card from her Mommy along with a terrific Pink Poodle Dog, which made her VERY happy.  She had a LONG leisurely bath after which we went to Albertsons so she could pick what she wanted for her “Birthday Dessert”.  The decision was made for soft sugar cookies with pink frosting and sprinkles.  When Max came home from work we headed to McDonald’s for the birthday girl’s choice of favorite dinner (Happy Meal chicken nuggets with chocolate milk).  We then headed straight to Dublin for the movie theater.  We had pop corn and pink lemonade while watching Curious George.  Desirae loved the movie and we were glad we could give her another movie experience (no scary parts in this one).  After the movie, we came home for cookies, ice cream and milk.  We gave Desirae a couple of birthday presents (Unicorn purse and Land Before Time puzzle) after we finished our dessert.  She got into her jammies and put the puzzle together (that girl is a whiz at puzzle making).

HER day turned into a wonderful day with only one sad moment expressed by Desirae – “I will never be four years old again”.
So profound and so true!

Later . . .

Holiday Monday

Monday turned into a beautiful, warm and restful day.  Max made pancakes and bacon for breakfast.  We went to Orchard for dirt and Longs for Kleenex and some things for Desirae’s hair. She really seems to like the head band and does not complain about wearing it.
The neighbors had given us a bunch of lemons and Max decided we needed to make Lemon Meringue Pies.  The filling was first on the agenda followed by seed planting, hot tub filter cleaning, poop scooping and then video game playing and homework (guess who was doing the homework)? After the filling cooled we made the meringue and the pies actually turned out DEEEElicious (as Desirae would say). Kathy and Paul came over and we all had dessert (Desirae had ice cream) and it was comfirmed - DEEEElicious!
I still need to get all the shells cleaned and will get some pictures of them when that is accomplished.
Amazing how time flies and chores stack up.

Sunday at the Beach

Sunday arrived as a much nicer day; although, while we were having breakfast it did start raining, which caused a little worry. Of course Max had to chat up the local fisherman to get the scoop on surf fishing in the area. It was much warmer and it did not rain on us while we there (it did come down pretty good on the drive home).

This time we had more time and energy to work on our bulding and ended up with a very cool little "village". We had the opportunity to spend several hours playing in the sand and did not have to worry about getting sun burned, as Desirae was completely covered from head to foot with her hair shading her face most of the time.

When it was time to leave we decided to chase some waves. After a couple of waves I gave up and managed the camera (running backwards on a bum knee just did not work well). Desirae and Max had a great time and did quite well until they both finally got wet and we gave up and headed home. After changing into dry clothes, Desirae was asleep almost instantly and slept the entire trip home.

Mission accomplished - one exhausted and very happy child!

Saturday at the Beach

I am very far behind in getting things posted and pictures loaded – being an adventure tour guide is time consuming.
Saturday morning we headed off toward Monterey with a weather forecast that predicted COLD and showers.  We stopped at Moss Landing for a lunch of fish and chips with deep fried artichoke hearts and then headed straight to Salinas River Beach (also known as Sand Dollar Beach).  Desirae was so excited about going to the beach that it did not matter what the weather was like.  At least the weather gave us the beach all to ourselves (not many others would weather the cold, rain, sleet and eventual hail). Desirae had a wonderful time and was amazed at the water and waves.  We collected shells and sand dollars and built our first sand castle (mine as well as hers).
We walked along the shore for a while, but when the hail came down hard, we decided it was time to retreat to the car and head toward the motel to get dry and warm.  We also decided to buy Desirae a heavier jacket that was water proof in case we had to endure the weather again.
Desirae was very happy with the motel stay and the fact she had her own Queen bed.  Nana and Desirae had their new jammies that Aunt Joy made for us and after we went out for a bite to eat we settled in for cartoons while Max did some homework.  The weather indicated it would be warmer on Sunday and the showers would not arrive until the afternoon, so we all went to sleep hoping for a better day at the beach on Sunday.

Adventures for Friday

OMG the morning started off early and COLD.  Thank goodness the wind was not blowing.  We headed out around 8:00 AM to do some fishing and sadly for Desirae there were no fish to be caught today.  The sun would come out and you would feel a little warmth and then it would just as quickly disappear.  I got some pictures of Desirae bundled up in a blanket with her fishing pole, but unfortunately they are on a disposable camera and I cannot get the pictures on the blog.  I think I am going to invest in one of those cheap, small digital jobs so we can at least have the pictures right away.  I keep a disposable camera in my fishing vest in case we catch “the BIG one”.  I do not want to take the risks with our good digital cameras, but I guess that is what camera cases are for.

The movie experience for Desirae was a good one except for the choice of movie.  She was totally excited to be in the theater and was in awe with the big screen, bucket of pop corn and pink lemonade.  For all the advertisement one would have thought it (Eight Below) was a good family/kids movie – unfortunately all the adults were crying (we all were very discrete, especially Nana).  Since I did not want to be the person to bring a death experience into Desirae’s life we decided “it was only a movie” and the doggie was “sleeping”.  Luckily all the dogs did a lot of sleeping during the movie so that helped.  There was one part that scared everyone and she was NOT very happy with that.  All in all it was a good time and we are thinking about trying to do another movie on her birthday (Curious George or The Shaggy Dog).

We (Max, Desirae, Kathy, Paul, Michael, Debby and Leigh) all went to Chevy’s for dinner after the movie and then back to our house to see pictures Debby had of Iraq.  We made an early night of it because we were off to the beach on Saturday.  The weather report was not very promising, but we decided we would not be discouraged.

Fun Afternoon with Chalk and Imagination

Max took off work early today because she had to see her counselor to sign up for her LAST four classes.  Yes, that is right – LAST (she will be finished with her degree in June).  Desirae and I went with her for the appointment and then we had McDonald’s for lunch (ummmm wonder who thought of that)?  Max then had to work on homework and we were all crammed in the office – Desirae on Max’s lap and both dogs on the floor.  If you have never seen our office, let me assure you it is NOT big.  Max decided she would change to her notebook and Desirae thought that would be a great idea because she could then lie on the couch next to her instead of sliding off her lap in the chair.

I did manage to get some photos this afternoon (a bunch of good shots).  Max brought home a box of outside chalk and to give Max a break and some peace and quiet for homework Desirae and I went outside to play in the front.  Desirae and I had a time of it drawing on the driveway.  We (actually she – bum knee and all) played hop scotch and she had a complete story line going for the drawings.  It was amazing to listen to her expand on the story and how the whole thing unfolded.

After dinner Desirae and I played video games while Max continued to work on her homework.  She is excited about going fishing tomorrow and we are praying it is not windy (cause it will be cold).

Where Does The Time Go?

I am amazed at how quickly the time flies around here. I have intentions of making a post on the blog each night and by the time dinner is completed, the dishes done, time shared, bath taken, story read - well there you have it - an exhuasted Nana who is ready for bed. If I was more experienced with the whole blog thing and adding pictures, I might be able to accomplish the task at hand, but notice it is mid afternoon and I am just now getting around to doing it. I also am not that great at remembering to snap pictures.

I really wanted to get posted this picture of Desirae busy "typing" emails to her Mommy and Daddy. She is a TRIP. She talks the whole time she is typing just like she was talking to her Mommy and Daddy - telling them everything she is doing and how much she misses them and loves them AND she expects them to respond to what she has to say in her emails! We even did some IMing with her Daddy and she was just "talking away" at the keyboard (lucky for Duane I am a fast typist and could interpret so he could answer her appropriately).

So that was it for yesterday and I have not taken any pictures today. I will work on it and see if I can't get another posting on the blog later on this evening. At least there should be pictures and information tomorrow as it is Fishing Day and Movie Day.

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!

I almost forgot that it was Valentine's Day today until I received an email from Max and Desirae was watching cartoons with a Valentine's Day theme. Max and I bought her a Valentine's bear and her parents sent a Valentine's Day bag with goodies in it for us to give her. She is such a trip - she kept saying "Happy Thanksgiving".

Desirae and I had a VERY full day today (I am not sure how we managed to accomplish so much). We did the Valentine's Day thing and called her Mommy to say "Happy Thanksgiving" and thank her for the bag. We called Max to say "Happy Thanksgiving" and thank for the bear. She finally did get the "Happy Valentine's Day" thing.

We went to Wal-Mart for kite string, a video game and a Dora game. We then went to Best Buy to exchange Devin's BD video game. Next on the list was Costco for some groceries and PIZZA for lunch. Desirae and I played Alphabet Go Fish and she played her Dora game. We cleaned dog poop and groomed the dogs. We watched a Scooby Doo video and went to the park for kite flying.

Desirae actually got the kite in the air, but Max almost wet herself when she told Desirae to "run" and Desirae took off running around in circles! It was so funny to realize that one must be a bit more specific with a child who does not know how to fly a kite.
We had to stop because with the wind blowing it was wickedly cold. We are all having a good time.

Late Post

Cozy little family - Max doing homework, Desirae cuddled next to her and both the dogs asleep at their feet. I had the greatest of intentions, but my computer would not cooperate with me.  I had a post for the blog written and was going to add some pictures and my computer froze up on me and I had to shut down and lost everything.  I was tired and frustrated – so I went to bed.

The general gist of the post was dealing with Desirae and the dogs.  Her bed time has turned in to a complete family affair. What does not show up in the picture is both the dogs sitting in the doorway of the bathroom watching Desirae brush her teeth.   Darci is there because she thinks she needs attention and Kodi is there cause he actually wants to sleep in her bed.

I have been having some difficulty with my new camera and getting pictures that are actually in focus.  I am getting better and if all else fails I guess I will have to read the instructions.

There will be more pictures to come.

Wonderful Weekend

We had a wonderful weekend with the family.  The drive down was not bad – light traffic except when approaching Bakersfield (lots of 18 wheelers).  Devin’s birthday was a success and fun was had by all.  He had a THREE foot sub sandwich, which was really quite tasty.  He had a space themed party and the cake was excellent.  I must say I had forgotten just how much is required when raising children – nice to be Nana.  I saw a license plate frame that read “Grampa is the name and spoiling is the game”.  I can relate to that!

We made the long trip home with Desirae and she was an angel for such a long trip.  She was completely self-entertaining and only slept for the first part of the trip down to Bakersfield from Cal City.  We listened to music and that seemed to entertain everyone.  The dogs were as excited to see her as she was to see them.  We fixed her “bedroom” up (we forgot her sleeping bag and pillow so we had to improvise and she was very pleased with the results). She had a bath and was ready to go to bed at 8:00 PM.  She is really excited to be here alone and we are hoping that she does not become too home sick before we are ready to take her back for her birthday party on the 25th.  We plan to keep her busy, but she has already mentioned missing Mommy and Daddy.  Thankfully she loves both Max and I (not to mention the dogs) and likes to be here.

All is back to normal – Max is doing homework, the dogs are asleep at our feet and the fireplace is keeping us toasty.  We now have the addition of a little blonde, blue-eyed princess to add to the mix.

LIFE IS INDEED GOOD!

Friday has Finally Arrived

I tried to post a blog last night but the server was down and I gave up.  Nothing much transpired yesterday except I had a smashing time (pun intended) at the doctor's for the additional mammograms.  The doctor had ordered the “area in question” to be “pressed out” and I am here to confirm – pressed indeed.  The “spot” showed up loud and clear, so hopefully this will be what they need to pinpoint the spot when it is time for the surgery.

The rest of the day was rather uneventful.  We are trying to get ourselves together to leave for California City as soon as Max gets off work today.  We are going down for Devin’s birthday party and bringing Desirae back with us for a couple of weeks and then taking her back for her birthday party.

The girls across the street with be caring for the dogs and I finally took the Xterra in to have the tires rotated and the wheels balanced.  We were getting a bit of a shake and I wanted that taken care of before the Cal City trip (nothing like leaving it to the last moment).

I think all is done and I am just passing the time waiting for Max to come home from work.

A Clearer Day

I am not sure that I can completely explain the whole “abnormal tissue” issue any better today, but I did have a good conversation with my Radiologist this morning.  I called to tell her I was a bit confused with the whole situation and her response (bless her heart) was, “That does not surprise me in the least.  All the changes and information we laid on you yesterday – you should be confused”.  We talked the whole thing through and I now understand what procedure I will actually be going through.  I will have a joint appointment with my Radiologist (Dr. Preston) and the Surgeon (Dr. Riley-Paul).  Dr. Preston will do the mammogram and pinpoint the location of the “abnormal tissue”.  She will place a wire into the location and insert a hook.  I will then be taken to Dr. Riley-Paul who will remove the hook and the surrounding tissue.  They will check the tissue to make sure they have the actual “abnormal tissue”.  They will x-ray the tissue Dr. Riley-Paul removes to confirm it contains the original “abnormal tissue” from the mammogram.  Dr. Preston assured me they will not close the incision until they are completely satisfied they have removed the area that needed removing – that darn “abnormal tissue” stuff.

The reason Dr. Preston can pinpoint the area with the mammogram for the wire is because she does not have to be 100% accurate.  If she were doing a biopsy, she would have to be precise in the area as with a biopsy a very small amount of tissue is taken.  I now am feeling at least more clear on the issues and ready to proceed.

Now the wait will be for an appointment time that can accommodate both doctors.  I told them I am willing to do this whenever they want.  Dr. Preston told me it would not actually be a problem to wait until I come back from Ireland, as both the doctors have very busy schedules and getting something before I leave may not fall into place. I still have to show up for additional mammograms tomorrow – go figure and I am not questioning the process.

On a different note – I went to our accountant today to submit the paperwork for our taxes.  Max is in store for a nice refund (ah, yeah that will go into the JOINT checking account) and I will probably have to pay around $150 - $200.  Max is happy that I actually made the appointment and completed it in February – usually I don’t get around to it until the first of April – my bad.

That is it for today – and we had PIE, because dammit, we needed it!

Breast Biopsy Day

Well, how do I sum up this day?  Most of the people that look at this blog are aware that today was the day for “the” breast biopsy.  Max and I arrived enough ahead of time to get some coffee and donuts before time for the scheduled appointment.  Needless to say things did not proceed on time and we were about 45 minutes late getting started.  I was a nervous wreck – not looking forward to the procedure.  I did manage some Black Eyed Peas Nano time which helped the time pass.  When the Radiologist finally started the sonogram, she was just not having any success with finding a good two dimensional shot of this “abnormal” tissue she was looking for.  The spot showed up well on the mammogram, but they wanted a better idea of the exact location for the biopsy.  After trying diligently for an accurate reading to be able to proceed with the biopsy, she said we would have to give up the sonogram and move on to Plan B (I was having a pretty difficult time completely understanding Plan A).  She then informed me that the “abnormal” tissue HAD to come out and the only other option was to perform an actual surgery.  She presented my choices as to see the surgeon either on Friday at 3:00PM or Tuesday at 10:00 AM (neither of which appealed to me since we were planning to leave for Cal City Friday around 3:30 PM and I would have Desirae with me on Tuesday).  Unfortunately (or as Max seems to think – fortunately) the Radiologist (very nice doctor – a bit intense, but very nice) was honing in on my hesitation connected to Cal City and having our grand daughter for two weeks and Cal City again and then Ireland for two weeks.  She left to make some phone calls and came back with an appointment with the surgeon for that afternoon at 4:00 PM.  Okay so we are in Walnut Creek and it is 12 noon – what to do? SHOPPING!  A little retail therapy never hurt anyone.  We went to Best Buy and picked up cases for our cameras and a computer program for Suduko.  We had lunch at Chevy’s and then browsed the Tuesday Morning store (which neither of us had ever been in before).  Tuesday Morning produced a very cool Betty Crocker Cook Book, a Sleep Book (different methods and ideas to help get good nights sleep) and some nice wooden puzzles.  We hit Target with the primary objective of wrapping up purchases for the grandkids birthdays – thank goodness that was very successful.

With our bellies full, shopping successfully completed and basically emotionally stressed and drained, we headed back to Kaiser for the surgeon’s appointment.  The surgeon and the radiologist were not exactly on the same page concerning this “abnormal” tissue.  The surgeon admitted she was not that good at reading x-rays, but did not feel this “pea sized abnormal tissue” was all that concerning, but at the same time she agreed that it did need to come out.  Hmmmm - concerned, but not really concerned, how to exactly find it (that would be more mammograms and sonograms), how to mark it (that would be with a pin with a hook on it stuck into my breast), when to take it (before or after my Ireland trip) – give me a break here!  I became a bit confused about this whole thing as the surgeon was explaining the surgical procedure and the two different outcomes – cancer or no cancer.

So here is the bottom line as we know it.  I go back on Thursday for additional mammograms (oh Joy – this will be the third set just on this one area). Hmmmm if I don’t actually have cancer now, are they trying to make sure I do with all the mammograms they are taking????????   These new mammograms will prove to the surgeon that the “abnormal tissue” does in fact exist and then the Radiologist and Surgeon will have to find time when they are both free to schedule a joint appointment where I will get YET another mammogram.  This mammogram will show them where to insert the above mentioned pin and hook, hopefully confirming it is in the correct location by the sonogram and then send me over to the surgeon who will remove the pin/hook and surrounding tissue.  I am still not clear on how they are going to confirm they were in the correct spot (I still have many questions to ask prior to this procedure taking place).  Then the tissue goes to the lab for analysis and depending on that finding the next step is not known.

Now just how fricking confusing was all that?????????????????????????  Yeah, and I was there for the whole day!  There you have it and I once more move back into the holding pattern of playing the waiting game.

Interesting Weekend

Max decided since my actual birthday weekend was a bit uneventful and crowded with other family events that we would celebrate my birthday AGAIN. So we ran around and checked out Thrift Stores in the area. We actually did not find any stores that were anywhere close to what we have locally, but we did have fun. I found a really wonderful, interesting coffee canister. It is light weight alumimum with a unique hinge and it will probably hold a couple pounds of coffee. It has a really wide rubber seal and should keep everything nice and tightly sealed.

We then made a Best Buy run and ended up with two new digital cameras! I have been wanting a smaller camera and Max is just sick of her old camera - SO, I decided to put my Crap Table earning to good use. I have a black and she has a silver DSC-T5 and we both have a 1G memory stick. The front part slides down to reveal the lens and it has a nice display screen. The only thing it does not have is a view finder (which I am used to from my other camera),
That made short work of my $1k winnings, but the cameras are VERY cool. I still like my old Sony digital camera, but this new one is very small and will be easy to carry in a purse and just be portable. We made a quick stop at WalMart on the way home and I ended up with the Friends "Scene it?" DVD game. Have not played it yet, but it sure looks like it will be fun.We decided to go out to dinner and the Italian place we wanted to go was closed so we went to our Sushi place. OMG they had changed their menu and WOW - it was a taste treat sensation to say the least.

That was Saturday and Sunday was "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" (finally) and the Super Bowl - Go Steelers.

Trying Again

Since my previous post seems to have slide off in cyber space never to be seen again, I will have to see if I can start this process over. Success was had on the music front! I succeeded in getting all my music back on my computer. I had to drag out all my CD's and check to make sure they were actually on my computer and all the tracks were present. I have no idea why some of the CD's just vanished and on some of the CD's some of the tracks were missing. Dont mind telling you the whole process was quite time consuming, but I plan to copy all my music to my iPod and back it up so I will hopefully NEVER find myself in this delima again.
Moving right along - we finally moved all the Christmas stuff up to the rafters and were able to move the tables and get the Quads back where they belong with the battery chargers in place. It really is nice to have the Quads back accessible and hopefully we can get them charged, aired and ready to ride. We continued to clean on the garage and managed to get the racks for the fishing poles put up along with some hooks for our fishing vests. We were also able to get the bicycles down from their overhead home (God knows how we got them up there in the first place). We plan to get them both into the bike shop for a good cleaning/tune-up and maybe actually ride them at least around the neighborhood a bit. I am not sure how much riding I will be able to accomplish with this bum knee, but I shall give it a try.
Once we finshed with the garage, Max was able to get busy and install the new DVD/CD burner that she purchased. She was having monumental difficulty with her Alcohol 120 program and the ability to copy games. So far the burner seems to be in and running, but the whole Alcohol 120 question is still up in the air. Hopefully it will all work itself out and our computer problems will just disolve. It appears that all is working well with the posting and uploading pictures, so I am going to quit with this and see if it will post properly and stay where it is suppose to be.
